10 years ago this month??

Post by pandemonium001 »

Google throws up the funniest things. I googled my own screen name and found some different stuff
which prompted some memories.
10 years ago this month, I had just finished my apprenticeship end of august, on full wages so what do you do, buy a car.
I paid in full for my swb 300zx with abflug body kit just based on pictures had to wait 6 weeks for import, then went to Edinburgh to collect in october
found these pics i forgot about:

I have a full set of alloy calipers off one of those I found in the breakers a while ago, been waiting for something "interesting" to do with them....

Much under-rated cars from what I understand.

I am sure they shared the same brakes as the early r32 r33 skylines. stopped really well.
It was a rare model as well being the swb, and not the 2+2, and slick top with no glass in the roof, just a shame it was not the twin turbo. but still fast enough for my first RWD car 3.0v6 24valve.
installed a fidanza flywheel and a cold fusion NOS kit later on.

Car in front was turning off, I was probably going too fast etc etc. Cars both spun out but I hit a lamp post. Thankfully my life was saved by the Cornwall Air Ambulance so I try and do a bit to raise awareness and a few quid here and there. :)
