More progress, although slow due to the cold.
Had to get the fire going for a few hours.

Got a set of brembo 300mm rear discs to fit now as well so brackets will be made next weekend along with braided lines back to the T piece.

painted the night before, and dried in front of the fire, but need a bit of heat again.
80DegC for 1.5hrs

more trim fitted

still need to straighten up the doors, passenger side is worst, then waxoyl inside, plastic film and door trim can go back on.

Rear strut brace on its way, to be modified to include battery tray and diff support like Marks.

Still to order new window chrome, but might take the glass back out, when the painter put them in he didnt remove all the putty and so some bits sit high.
might try and flatten it down with the hair dryer and white spirit.

also 2 cloudy bits have appeared in the front screen corners, I presume due to moisture, any one know if this can be dried out? a bit of warm air??

The layers of the laminated windscreen are separating from each other. most of the time it starts in the corners.

I think a little damage while mounting is the reason for this.

I don't thing drying up will help, mine has a cloudy spot in the right lower corner for years which stays the same size, and 2 other spots where the two layers are separating:

No spigot ring required for the 305mm disc on the rears, 75mm perfect fit, just need to trim the dust shield.

Shoe inner diameter is bigger so will be going with hidden Hydraulic hand brake I have on the shelf.

Front strut brace, battery tray for boot, center steering rod, clutch master kit and some more braided line and fittings all on order.

hopefully have more soon.

Had to repair the rear light units, sadly 6 out of 8 captive bolts broke off on removal.
Bonded stainless units in place using epibond epoxy and has worked a treat.

lots of silicone spray and waxoyle used every where as well.
Still to do the inner sills tho.

wing mirrors are retrofit, and the door frames are actually the newer model. but still turned out o.k. it can be done by changing the forward wndow runned for the correct one. bugger that.

started the hydraulic handbrake

will be bolted to the side of the hydraulic handbrake.

new toy

pedal box for direct mounted master

auto and manual e12 cars have slightly different sized master cylinders so there is an option if required.
pedal ratio works out to 6-1 as standard.
