Re: Le Mans Classic 24 hours - July 8-10, 2016
Not exactly in chronological order but ok, here we go...

M12 fun in prototypes!

Wonderful BMW Classic exhibition

As you've already noticed, the 1977 Le Mans 24 Hours participant, the Roy Lichtenstein 320i Group 5 Art Car!

BMW V12 LMR 1999 overall 24h winner

Doing a paddock walk

Finding the BMW Clubs getting ready for a few laps around the 24h circuit

Ran into Olivier who immediately offered us passenger rides, great!

1st training session for the oldies

The actual event opens with Little Big Mans, kids with their miniature racers, and Pharrell Williams was there to help them

After this the big boys were lining up

Christian Traber

Runner Yohan Blake, Jean Todt, Pharrell Williams and Richard Mille for the official starting sign

Slowly moving on to more 'modern' times

BMW demo

paddock come evening time

Some night action

early morning

Thanks gents, looking back on a fabulous event.
And I just heard a rumour... the original ex Ronnie Peterson HAT 320i (E21 Group 5) just had it's shakedown test in Australia after years and years of restore. Still some niggles to tend to but the plan is to run some events in Australia the upcoming season, and the ultimate goal is to attend Le Mans Classic 2018 with it... guess I'll have to be back by then
