So I have a 1981 320/6 E21 with the 4 speed manual gearbox, currently fitting an e21 M20B23 engine and I figured it was a good time to change the clutch.
Looking at aftermarket clutch options, I noticed almost all of them were for M10 E21s so I'm assuming they won't work but I can't find any for E21s with the M20 engine. I'm assuming any E30 clutch would work but I don't know if there's any fitment issues with my 4 speed box and wouldn't want to order the wrong part. Has anyone put an E30 clutch in a 4 speed E21? Or should I just look for one made for my car?

Re: Using E30 clutch for 320 E21
You can look this up but I believe early E30 320i and 323i use the same size flywheel and clutch. For these as well as E21 M20's there should be enough quality aftermarket stuff available like OEM Sachs or LUK.
