Mate you have a very fat list allthough its short. id strip that car down panels, carpets, engine out, dashboard out the lot and see what the car is like i.e. is it solid/ rust issues at the back wheel arch, front chassis leg, rear boot area side sills inner flitches e.t.c. and take it from there.. we all started from somewhere and am sure if that list is what you want then go for it.. its dedication and time..... as we are all here to help and take the piss (me  ) we`ll all help!!

I won't say nice car right now, because I would be lying! :D I have actually bought something really similar looks wise and the mods you've got planned sound great.

Look forward to the progress.

Isn't it better to take a better base?? in my opinion you should buy a 323i,
A full restored 316 doesn't go that much money if you compare it with a 323i...

and i think all your upgrades will cost a lot of money

Thats what i did with my e30 cab, it was only a 320i, now its got leathers, m30b35 engine, fully polyflex bushes all round, uprated suspension, resprayed, new hood, hardtop, mtec 2 kit etc etc.
I don't mind spending the money over time and i have most of the mechanical parts already. :D
