I know :banana

I do feel a little bit bad that I'm actually going to use it. It has managed 23 year in the box and now it's going to be used for the first time.

Not an update but I popped into BMW earlier to order a few parts for an upcoming update and got them to print off the vehicle spec for me.

Can you just go into any BMW dealer and get them to print off a spec like that?

How much do they charge for it?

If you give them your chassis number then they should have all the information on your car on their screen. It is essentially the build sheet. And it should be free, or at least it was for me.

I believe this info is only available for the latest E21's, 82 and 83 models. Anyone with an earlier car get that info? I believe my car (81) turned up blank but I'm willing to try again haha

Yesterday went to see a very nice man about a rear disk conversion :D
This set-up is standard on the 323 so it should stop my lowly 316 a lot better. The conversion itself changes the rear drums to solid disks and the front solid disks to vented.

I am going to strip everything down and recondition everything before poly bushing every bush that I can. Then once I have done that it will get fitted to the car complete.

Here are the pics

Also a big thanks to Gav and the battle wagon as without them I wouldn't have been able to pick all of it up.

I managed to pick up the everything in the pics, including the 323 crossmember for £200. I don't know if this is a good price or not but I wanted it so I had it

I'm probably going to spend that much again refurbishing everything.
