Inner side of the A pillar. This is where the roof is welded on. No one will ever see it again, but I want it like it should be.
Boot corner under the rear window
Which brings us to the boot. One of the two places with old welds that I kept is the toweye (or whats it called). It was solid but not clean. Now it is.

from the boot to the enginebay.
i did some heavy welding here, like where the brake lines are fitted in the front wheelhouses.
or the bulkhead
and of course below the fusebox.

As it sat on the car, we saw the next thing…
This hole is needed to fit the not standard but original radioantenna. Nice to see that back in 1978, an antenna was no standard feature. But the hole is not very refined… Besides that, I have the optional electric antenna next tot he bootlid, so this hole can be closed…
We also made an adjustment. The hose that drains the water from the sunroofcassette, goes into the sill thru the A pillar. I don’t want that anymore, so I drilled out the holes in the A pillar, and no we cut out a piece of the front wing, so the hose can go there.

The front wings are ready for the first layers of paint
To start with epoxyprimer
Then it was time to sand the complete inside of the loose parts.
The doors:
The bootlid
And the bonnet
The spots where the old seal was removed due to rust on the bootlid and left door are sealed again.
