Next is the black plate between the rear lights. According to the BMW manual it needs some strips of double sided tape.

Screws where ugly, so I sandblasted and spraypainted them.

Then the rearlights. The seals were in a good nick, but covered in paint and rust.

Lenses are also dirty.

I cleaned it all and placed them.

Lights fit great. Nice in line with the sidepanel. Type 2 lenses tend to stick out. But this fits great! Happy!

Koos, you must have the patience of an angel, your eye for detail and perfection, I love it. And after all these years you are really making progress in building your perfect car, it is so, so beautiful! Keep up the good work!

Greetz,
Walter.

Thanks JB!

Next week we will post some updates, the dashboard is planned for tomorrow to go in. Carpet and backseat are in and the wipermotor, the heater and some small bits are installed.

So I need to do some serious picture updating!

Amazing work Koos, really. If my car was given the same care in the work done, I would never have sold it

Lots is done, almost the complete interior is in now.

After the respray of the car, I spotted something I’d forgotten to do. The two pieces of damping material in the heatherbox. The are painted in the colour of the car, so just putting the black pieces in, was no option.

So I primered and painted them.

And got them in to place.

After that, I installed the loom, including the original Audioloom. That audioloom was installed only in cars that had speakers in the parcelshelf, from the factory. Yellow and blue wires, incluiding the faderswitch.
