The old oilpump had a lot of wear to it. Ghe one from another block that I have was not to my liking, so I bougjt a new one. Well, new?

Image

When they produced this pump, the car was younger than the pump now, when I bought it "new".

Image

In the meanwhile I wasn't all to happy with the contamination in the oilsump. So I tossed it in the chemical washer. To bad my paint washed off. But it got clean, I painted it again.

In September '17 new parts arrived, the stronger rockers and the adjustable cam sprocket. That took to damn long.

In Oktober 2017 I sorted the bumpers. In the winter '16/'17 I had it rechromed and had the parts in stock. Started with nuts and bolts.

The rearbumper has licenceplate lights in it, that was all rusty and dirty. So I took it apart and cleaned them.

Rust taken of.

And protected

When the bumpers were assembled it was time for the only good thing to do with chrome bumpers. That is protecting the inside.

So took my actually new bumpers to the local Dinitrol shop. They filled them. I can tell you all, this wil.never rust. Ever.

In the meantime, I had some jobs to do, without hurry. But they must be done once, right? One of those jobs was to drill a hole in my freshly painted wings. Why? Because I am going to improve the waterdrain from the sunroof. Original it runs into the sill. Recepy for disaster. Rust, trouble, rot. So I'll drain the water and lead it outside of the car.

Step 1, drill holes

Step 2: conserve

Step 3: fabricate pipes

Step 4: fit

Step 5: adjust design

Step 6: voila!
