It hase been covered already in the dutch part of the forum but I like to share here also what I haven been doing over the last 4 months ... playing with my new engine .. a 129hp B version eta engine was the standard set up ..

e30 323i lightened flywheel 6,2 kg's

next step was the cilinder head but this has been done by a machine company :wink:

some futher updates

engine rebuild with pistons, new piston rings etc ... block is skimmed 0.2 mm

reworked outlet ports of the 885 head .. right side has become 5mm larger in diameter to become a perfect fit with the exaust tubes .. the head is skimmed 0.3 mm

fresh new dbilas cam shaft .. and here you can also see the reworked rockers (they are made a little lighter)

we first test fitted the head on the engine to find out the free space was not enough (only 0,5mm)

so we had to work on the pistons .. to clear the valves a bit more

and satisfied now 1,9 mm and when the head gasket was tightened 1,2 (0.8 is a minimum to be safe I was told)

New injectors in place 10% increase of capacity they are from a ford mustang but are also fitted on the e36 325i engines

Nice work started after those thing finished .. connecting the old type square c101 connector on the new round one ...

2 more wires have to be replaces .. one for the econo gauge and the other for the engine speedometer .. black from engine loom to black in the yellow connector under the dash (rpm gauge) and white/black from engine loom to yellow/white in yellow connetcor under the dash

The engine is running on the the alpina b3 2.7 version ecu and is good at the moment .. good decent push under 3000rpm and from 3000 onwards she goes really fast .. Still running in the pistons rings a bit so max rpm for now is 4000 with some peaks of 4500 ... max rpm is set to 7000.

First 750km is yet on the clock and she isn't using any water or oil ...

Power output shoud be somewhere around 210 bhp and torque would be between 270/280 nm

We will know for sure when she goes on the power bank for testing hopefully somwhere later this year
