ABS problem

I have a problem with the ABS system.
The orange ABS light stays on when I start the engine.
The light was disconnected, so I think the previous owner know there was a problem.
What can I check ?
All the fuses are good.

You can check the ABS cables for tear and wear, the rear sensors usually are a PITA to remove but you can remove & check the front ones on dirt buildup. Next up is a check on the ABS cable connectors (yellow-orange round connectors, two on the front wings and two under the rear seat)... there might be some corrosion. Last easy step is to replace the ABS computer that's located underneath the dash at the drivers' side.. borrow one from another E30 (any E30 with ABS will do) for a test.
