My new toy....E3

I bought this last week. Always fancied one and when the chance came to buy it, I couldn't resist. Plans are to change to a 5 speed manual and possibly put some open lug 16" Alpina's on it and that's it. I would love to get rid of the carbs and replace the engine with an e12 535 m30 but as the car is so original, I think it would be criminal to change it. I need to get the calipers sorted as well. Does anyone know where I can get replacement panels for one of these. Need the rear arches ?

Let me know your thoughts and advice.

Imho that also goes for the tranny! This car is very original, just two previous owners (you're 3th right?) with fuul history? Thats worth preserving, it'll gain value in the next decade!

Nice find, anyway!

I like the wheels that are on it, they look like something from an early 70's italian sportscar. Very cool car!

Just plain lovely, congrats!

Think I'd swap the engine for a more modern E23-E24-E28 M30B35 and set the original engine aside or start rebuilding it at some point.

Nice car. I'm going to use Walloth Nesch as a last resort and prefer to either buy new old stock or get someone to fabricate stuff.

I drove nearly 3 hours with my trailer in my V6 Shogun...and walked away

The structure of the car was ok....BUT mechanically I wasn't at all impressed.

I really wish people would describe their cars better.

People always think that if they misrepresent their cars you'll buy them anyway. Well no way! But grmbl serious waste of time!

Engine I believe was only firing on 4 cylinders and there was evidence that they have tried to rectify this and failed. On startup it sounded awful, huge knocking noise coming from the engine. It didn't look and sound great at all. Water pump was screwed as well. Trust me, for me to go that far and walk away wasn't easy !

There was evidence that the engine had been worked on and the fact it sounded like that didn't install any confidence in me.

My plan was to keep the engine the same and not spend any money and doing an engine change. I expected to see a car that starts and run fine with a blowing exhaust...that's not what I saw.

From what I've heard about Mobster - whatever it takes to get a deal. Somebody coming towards me with an Axe would definitely work!
