hello troops.

thought id pop by and say hello after buying my first e21.The car ive bought is an e21 318i,its a lhd and was imported from belguim from new,the underneath of the car seems to be ok but its needing a bit bodywork done.

Ive restored a few cars before and hoping to get this one done pretty quick but well see when I get it stripped.

ill put some pics up later as I cant upload them at work

hope to make some good contacts on here and get some good advice :blablabla

don't laugh too hard when I put the pics up :thnx

just try not to laugh too hard,i could really do with someone having a car theyre using as a doner one and cutting the back end off it as my rear panel is pretty badly gone and its spread a little into the 1/4's

the carsd never gonna be a show winner and never gonna be sold and funds are tight so a new rear panel is out of the question unfortunately

thanks for the welcome

Hi
Where are you in Scotland? That car looks great- I am sure you will make it a VG runner good start having all its history etc
I write this from near Inverness.

I love that!

Your spelchecker has come up with a new english word that perfectly describes an ExPat forced to work overseas through love of engines- count me in!

im in Edinburgh, dont think theres many people on here from Scotland?

im trying my best with the car,i have a whole rear end from a 323 on its way to me thanks to grewham on here so when that arrives I cant get stuck into the car,im wanting to keep it nice and subtle and not ruin the lines of the car and ill be leaving it on the 1.8 injection for the time being but an m20 will more than likely find its way in at some point

thanks for the comments

You can't miss with Klokkerholm parts... :)
Did you mannage to buy some other replacement parts for E21 from Klokkerholm?
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

If I'm not mistaken, those sills you test fitted to your car are made by Klokkerholm :cheers
