Works F87 M2 CS Racing

Post by Jeroen »

On a regular basis a pay one of my local dealerships (Bergwerff in Gorinchem, The Netherlands) a visit as they have special stuff around all the time. Usually I forget to take photos but this time I thought I'd better take some pics of this BMW Motorsport works racer M2 CS Racing.

I love the lines on the F22 and F87 Coupés, a bit more balanced than my previous E82, and I've even considered one of these (M235i) before I ended up buying my 650i. This one is special indeed, and as fresh as can be, before it's being molested by some racing team haha. Enjoy, sorry for not being able to come up with an engine bay pic.

Very cool tool, J! Totally missed this topic, but glad I saw this just now. BMW clings on to that SMG box? At least the gear lever is in that SMG style.

Amazing car indeed, which I could have driven it but I had to settle for the street version. Transmission is DCT and if you feel how fast these engines spool I am afraid it goes through the gears so fast and strong (also compared to M240i for example) that you'll be too late in most cases, and taking turns in a cannon like this you better keep both hands on the wheel.

Hi!
nice rocket indeed...
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
