Cylinder Head question 121T

Post by repoman »

I purchased a 1977 (05/1977 Prod) 320i as a parts car for my E21 as well as my 2002. I looked at the cylinder head prior to purchasing the car and could make out a "21" and a date stamp of "79", so I assumed it was like all the other heads I've pulled at the junkyard (E21 2.0), however, after getting it off the block and cleaned off a bit, I noticed that it was stamped 121T. I am pretty sure these were from the early 2002's and not the E21's. It has not been tapped for the mechanical fuel pump rod, so does anyone know if these heads were used on the E21 or has this been replaced at some point. The mileage indicates 150k and the head looks to have the appropriate wear for that mileage. In addition, like I mentioned, it is date stamped 79. Thank you in advance.

Should be a 7 digit P/N from BMW on there as well, most likely something like 1 264 785 or 1 262 178?
